Pharm. Asuku Empowers Indigent Women With Cash, Wrapper, Other Gift Items
The Chief of Staff to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Pharm. Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku has on Sunday, empowered some vulnerable women in Okene local government area of Kogi State with cash grants to support their small scale businesses and also wrappers as Sallah gifts.
The Senior Special Assistant to Governor on Energy, Prince Abdulrahim Ohindase who represented him explained that the gesture was aimed at boosting the morales of his constituents.
Prince Ohindase pointed that the beneficiaries were carefully selected and drawn from wards across the LGA, assuring the constituents that the cash is mainly to cushion the current socioeconomic hardship as the wrappers are a Sallah celebration wish in arrears, urging them to make use of what they benefited appropriately.
While the beneficiaries pray to Allah Almighty to continue to reward Chief Asuku, they also prayed for his protection and guidance.
