The Chief of Staff to the Governor of Kogi State, Pharm. Abdulkareem Mohammad Jamiu Asuku has felicitated with Muslims around the world on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
In a statement made available to the media, the chief of staff pushed for a peaceful co-existence amongst all Kogites and encouraged all to shun violence and display the spirit of giving and love.
“I felicitate with the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria, especially those in Kogi State on this year’s occasion of Eid-el-Kabir festival of sacrifice.
“I enjoin all Muslims to appropriate the goodwill that comes with the celebration of Sallah, which propels sacrifice, giving out to the needy, neighbors and loved ones as we celebrate. I urge kogites to take advantage of the celebration by promoting peace and unity as exemplified by the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad [Peace Be Upon Him].
“I use this occasion to call on Kogites to embrace peace and shun violence before, during and after the campaign ahead of the 2023 Gubernatorial elections.
“Remain vigilant this festive season as we will be witnessing increased travels amidst celebrations.
“Once again, Barka da Sallah to all my Muslim brothers and sisters”.
