Kogi At 32: Chief Babayemi Olorunfemi Extols Gov. Bello's Developmental Strides, Tagged Kogi As Nigeria's Safe Heaven »

In commemoration of the establishment of Kogi State by Gen. (Rt) Ibrahim Babangida on 27th August, 1991, The Director General, Babayemi Vanguard Support Group for Ododo/Joel, Chief Babayemi Olorunfemi has described the performance of Governor Yahaya Bello as incredible, progressive, and sustainable.

He also lauded the leadership prowess of Governor Yahaya Bello since assumption of duty as the Executive Governor of the state in 2016. He extols his ability to harmoniously unite a heterogeneous state of diverse religion ethic orientation, and positioning of the State on the right track for sustainability growth and rapid development.

Kogi State with an estimated population of about 4.5 million, under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello has been able to birth a rewarding economy that has created a good economic atmosphere for businesses to strive. To complement the economic boost in the state, Governor Yahaya Bello’s administration went ahead to prioritize security of lives and sources of livelihoods, thereby opening up the state for foreign investments.

Numerous are the achievements of His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello over the years; which includes road constructions, educational reforms, health care services, human capital development, creation of employment opportunities, and attention to persons living with disabilities, amongst other achievements too cumbersome to mention. These achievements has rekindled the hopes of many Kogites across board, from the Igala, Ebira, Gbagyi, and Nupe (mainly the Bassa Nge, Kakanda, and Kupa subgroups) in the state’s center; the Agatu, Basa-Komo, Igbo and Idoma in the east; and the Yoruba (mainly the Okun, Ogori, Oworo, and Magongo subgroups) in the west, the magic wand of effective transformation as established by Governor Yahaya Bello touched every nooks and crannies of the state without exemption, tribal discrimination, and religious bias.

Chief Babayemi Olorunfemi then emphatically puts that he believes in the incoming administration of Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman to consolidate on these evergreen achievements of the New Direction Government, even as we move into the Renewed Direction Era from January 2024, as approved by God.

The Kogi born philanthropist, Chief Babayemi in closing, congratulates His Excellency Governor Yahaya Bello, Kogites in general as the state celebrates her 32nd years of harmonious coexistence.
