Former Kogi State Accountant General, Jibrin Momoh formally hands over, extols Governor Bello
Former Accountant General of Kogi State, Hon. Jibrin Momoh has formally handed over to the newly appointed Accountant General, Hajiya Habibat Tijani.
Speaking at the brief handover ceremony which took place in Lokoja, the former Accountant General extolled Governor Yahaya Bello’s sterling leadership, which has placed Kogi in good stead for rapid growth and development.
Hon. Jibrin Momoh said with the prudent management of the resources of the state by the New Direction administration, the laudable reforms and the various legacy projects across the state, Kogi state was better positioned to compete favorably for investments and to meet the aspirations of its people.
He said he feels fulfilled and happy to be handing over to a competent and experienced person who he believes would consolidate on the successes recorded.
Hon. Jibrin Momoh thanked Governor Bello for the opportunity to serve the state, adding that he is confident that the achievements recorded has placed Kogi on the front row of states that has reformed their finance sector for optimal performance.
On her part, the new Accountant General of Kogi State, Hajiya Habibat Tijani, applauded the former AG for the feats recorded in his tenure.
She appreciated Governor Yahaya Bello for giving her the opportunity to serve in the exalted position, promising to bring all her wealth of experience to fore in actualizing the goals of the government.
Staff of the office presented gifts to the former AG in appreciation of his leadership.
