Kogi Governor Condoles Vice President Shettima Over Stepmother’s Demise

The governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has condoled with the Vice President of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima, over the death of his stepmother, Hajiya Hauwa Abba Kormi whose sad event took place Thursday 2nd of February, 2024.

In a condolences letter personally signed by the Governor and circulated to press by his Chief Press Secretary, Oladele John Nihi, he described the death of Hajia Kormi as sad and painful, prayed for the Vice President and other members of the family to have the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

The statement reads: “On behalf of myself and the good people of Kogi State, I wish to express my heartfelt condolence on the death of your stepmother, Hajia Hauwa Abba Kormi who passed on to glory in the early hours of today. We received the news with sadness and pains. However, as they say, “the one who is adored the most by God, is the one who achieves eternal life”. We will miss her.

“For the family she left behind, be strong and may the Lord give you the strength to sail through these tough moments of life.

“We pray for the soul of the departed to rest in peace, and may Allah (SWT) grant you and the entire family the fortitude to bear the loss.

“Once again, please accept the deepest sympathies and solidarity, both of myself and of the good people of Kogi State.

“Best regards my leader and mentor.”
