Gov. Ododo Is Committed To Quality Education, Students Welfare – Ali Bello

The Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor, Honorable Ali Bello has re-affirmed Kogi State Government’s commitment to quality education by aligning with the solid template set up by the previous administration pointing out that the education sector has a 30% fund allocation in the consolidation budget.

Honourable Bello made this known on Sunday while meeting with the leaders of Kogi State student ethnic associations.

The Chief of Staff promised that Governor Usman Ododo will also look earnestly into the welfare of students ⁠pledging that the administration would revisit issues of bursary and scholarship thereby ensuring that Kogi State students would continue to enjoy support of the government.

He stressed that Governor Ododo remained committed to sustaining the various government support for students by the last administration such as monthly subventions, palliatives for students and other forms of support while charging them to use their positions and associations to rally students against vices like cultism, internet fraud, exam malpractices and other form of vices

Leader the delegation who is also the head of Kogi State Tribal Student Associations, and the National President, National Association of Ebira Students (NAES), Comr. Omeiza Peter, used the occasion to congratulate the state government for a smooth transition. He similarly congratulated the Chief of Staff, Hon. Ali Bello on his appointment and thanked him for receiving them despite his schedule

He mentioned that the different student bodies galvanised support for the candidate of the All Progressive Congress in the last election owing to their staunch support for the consolidation of the good dividends the sector enjoyed under the leadership of the former government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello. He ⁠promised on behalf of student Association of their continued support of the government

In her own remarks, Comrade Omoniyi Omolara, National President, National Association of Okun Students, thanked the immediate past governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for establishing Kogi State University, Kabba and pledged the support of Okun Students for the present administration of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.

Comrade Philip Enyoojo, National President, Igala Student Association (ISA), also thanked the immediate past governor for being fair to all Kogi state students irrespective of ethnic or religious backgrounds. He also congratulated the New administration and promised to rally support of Igala Students for the government.
