The Kogi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Honourable Monday Aridaojo Anyebe, has lauded the recent decision by the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, to approve a fresh list of appointments that include Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, Ward Special Assistants, and Local Government Special Assistants. This move, which prominently features the inclusion of youth in key government positions, has been widely praised as a strategic step towards empowering the younger generation and fostering sustainable development in the state.

Hon. Anyebe in a statement expressed his admiration for Governor Ododo’s dedication to youth empowerment, noting that this initiative is a continuation of the progressive legacy left by his predecessor, Yahaya Bello. He emphasized that by bringing more young people into the fold of governance, Governor Ododo is ensuring that the state’s future is in capable hands.

“Governor Ododo’s commitment to youth inclusion in governance is a testament to his visionary leadership. By consolidating on the legacy of His Excellency Yahaya Bello, who was known for his youth-friendly policies, the governor is ensuring that the torch of progress is passed on to the next generation,” said Hon. Anyebe.

The Commissioner further noted that the appointments would not only provide young people with the opportunity to contribute to the state’s development but also inspire others to actively participate in the political process. Hon. Anyebe called on the newly appointed aides to discharge their duties with diligence and to justify the trust reposed in them by the governor and the people of Kogi State.
