The Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Monday Anyebe, has called on youths across Kogi State’s 21 local government areas to seize the opportunity presented by the Ministry of Steel Development’s upcoming boot-camp training programme. He made this appeal during a recent address, encouraging young people interested in technical skills and development in the metal industry to apply for the one-month intensive training.
The boot-camp, organized by the Federal Ministry of Steel Development, aims to equip Nigerian youths with advanced technical skills in areas such as Welding and Fabrication, Industrial Foundry and Metallurgy, and Instrumentation, Systems Control, and Mechanical Maintenance. The programme is designed to empower Nigerian youths, fostering job creation, business growth, and sustainable livelihoods.

I strongly urge Kogi youths to take advantage of this training and enhance their employability and entrepreneurial capabilities,” he stated.
The programme offers a wide range of benefits, including expert training and mentorship, as well as equipment support for business growth. Eligible applicants are Nigerian youths between the ages of 18 to 40 who are productively engaged or interested in the metal industry.
