‎Hon. Jibril Abu Mourns Hon. Raji Siyaka, Calls for Prayers, Reflection in Ajaokuta

The Member representing Ajaokuta State Constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Jibril Abu, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Hon. Raji Siyaka, fondly known as Hon. RIOS, describing his death as a painful and irreplaceable loss.

‎‎In a condolence message, Hon. Abu referred to the late Hon. Siyaka as a dear brother, friend, mentor, and a legend whose life of service and character left indelible marks on Ajaokuta and beyond. He also acknowledged the strong bond between the deceased and the Member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency, describing him as a big brother whose guidance and counsel will be greatly missed.‎‎

Hon. Abu extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, assuring them of his prayers, continuous support, and intercession for strength and comfort in this moment of grief.‎‎

Reflecting on the inevitability of death, the lawmaker noted that life is a trust and time a loan, urging the public to embrace humility, kindness, love, and righteousness. According to him, it is neither position nor possessions that speak when a person departs, but character, values, and deeds.

‎‎He further observed that within the space of two months, Ajaokuta Local Government Area has lost several prominent individuals, describing the trend as a solemn call to prayer. He therefore appealed to religious leaders, including pastors and the council of Ulamaa, as well as all residents, to seek divine intervention for the land.‎‎

Hon. Abu prayed that God would preserve the people of Ajaokuta, turn their mourning into mercy, and grant the family of the deceased the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. He concluded by praying for the peaceful repose of the soul of the departed and comfort for all who mourn him.‎‎
