Hon. Patrick Danjuma Onogu (popularly known as PADDY) has formally declared his intention to contest the 2027 State Assembly election to represent the people of Igalamela-Odolu Local Government Area.

Onogu, a former Administrator of the local government, is widely regarded as a grassroots-oriented politician known for his humility and compassion. He enjoys broad support across political and community divides, a factor many observers believe strengthens his candidacy.

A pioneer member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the area, Onogu is said to have built a strong political structure spanning all ten wards of the local government. His supporters express confidence that his emergence as the party’s candidate would enhance its chances of securing victory in the election.

Highlighting his vision for effective representation, Onogu outlined key priority areas to include youth and women empowerment, education through scholarships, improved security, and infrastructural development, among others.

He also emphasized his experience as a seasoned mobilizer and lobbyist, pledging to leverage these strengths to attract meaningful development to the constituency if elected.
