Eid-el-Kabir: Erico Distributes Rice, Rams Across Kogi East, Promises More Development
Dr. Joseph Erico Ameh, winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Kogi East Senatorial Primary Election, has extended Eid-el-Kabir greetings to Muslims and residents of Kogi East Senatorial District, while announcing the distribution of relief materials across the district.
In his Eid-el-Kabir message to constituents, Erico said over 1,500 bags of rice and more than 500 live rams were distributed across the nine local government areas of Kogi East to support families during the Sallah celebration.

According to him, the items were shared among Muslim faithful, party loyalists, and members of the Igala and Bassa communities to enable them celebrate the festival comfortably.
The APC senatorial candidate stated that his commitment to the people of Kogi East goes beyond politics, stressing that empowerment and job creation have remained part of his long-standing mission to improve livelihoods in the district.
Erico disclosed that through his company, The Real Strikers Security LTD, over 8,000 Igala youths have been employed in various security jobs across Nigeria, including placements in banks and major institutions.
He further revealed that more than 400 youths from Ankpa Local Government Area, including Igala and Bassa indigenes, are currently employed by the company.
“We did not wait for government funding. We used our personal resources because we believe in the dignity and capacity of our young people,” he stated.
On security, Erico said discussions had been held with the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to strengthen security presence across Kogi East during and after the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
He noted that the state government had assured of increased deployment of soldiers, police officers, and other security personnel to the area in order to improve safety and protect lives and property.
Erico also expressed appreciation to APC members and supporters for their confidence in him during the recently concluded party primary election.
While awaiting official confirmation from the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), he assured constituents that their trust would not be betrayed.
He pledged to expand job opportunities, attract federal projects, and pursue greater development for Kogi East if elected into the Senate.
The APC chieftain prayed for peace, good health, and prosperity for families across the district as Muslims celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.
