Gov Bello assures Kogi indigenes of infrastructural development

Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello has assured Kogi indigenes of his government’s effort in resurrecting the state’s past glory and set it on a part of greatness.

Governor Bello said this at an exhibition organised in Lokoja to showcase the development witnessed in the state since his assumption of office in 2016.

While outline his government achievement in two years, Bello blamed previous administrations for leaving the State in ruins and despair, lamenting that the State has been lagging behind in the area of infrastructure as a result of corrupt and bad governance.

He however assured citizens of continual transparency and fairness in the distribution of the meager resources that are available to the state government.

The number one citizen of the state pointed out that all the projects in the Kogi would be quality certified, as his “government gives zero tolerance for low quality project.” He stated clearly that his “Government is for the people and would continue to ensure that the lives of the common man is positively affected.”

He however applauded contractors for rendering quality services so far and promised that in few weeks the state economic committee would structure a convenient way of financing contracts in the state, so as to fast track delayed works.

In his own remark, the Deputy Governor Elder Simon Achuba appreciated the people of Kogi for their support and assured that the present administration would perform better in years to come.
