APC Assembly Aspirant Abu Shaibu Congratulates Consensus Candidate, Pledges Loyalty to Party
A Kogi State House of Assembly aspirant under the All Progressives Congress, Hon. Abu Salihu Shaibu, has expressed gratitude to his supporters and reaffirmed his commitment to the party following the emergence of Hon. Muhammed I. Aliyu as the consensus candidate for the Adavi East Constituency seat in the Kogi State House of Assembly.
In a statement titled “My Appreciation, Reflection and Renewed Commitment,” Shaibu thanked party leaders, supporters, and well-wishers for standing by him since he declared his intention on April 6, 2026, to contest for the assembly position.
He described the political journey as rewarding and inspiring, noting that participation in leadership processes remains a victory in itself.
According to him, the experience reinforced the importance of courage, service, and perseverance in leadership, stressing that setbacks should not discourage aspiring leaders from pursuing their ambitions.
Shaibu congratulated Hon. Muhammed I. Aliyu on his emergence as the consensus candidate of the APC, describing him as a credible and capable leader who would represent Adavi East Constituuency with dedication and purpose.
He pledged his loyalty and total support to the APC and urged his supporters to remain steadfast and work for the party’s success ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“The party is supreme, and I pledge my full support to Hon. Muhammed I. Aliyu and the entire APC family,” he stated.
Shaibu also commended the Governor of Kogi State, Ahmed Usman Ododo, for creating opportunities for youths to aspire to political offices in the state.
He further expressed appreciation to the Auditor General for Local Governments in Kogi State, Yakubu Siyaka Adabenege, and his wife, Hajiya Yakubu Onize, for their support, guidance, and encouragement throughout the process.
The APC stalwart assured his supporters that the movement remained alive and committed to the development of Adavi East and Kogi State, insisting that the dream of service would continue despite the outcome of the party’s decision.
