Car snatcher arrested in Ugwolawo »

…as Hon. Amodu urges young people to engage in meaningful ventures.

Driven by his commitment to replicating the status quo of Gov. Bello administration’s zero tolerance for criminal elements who are bent on tarnishing the image of Kogi State, the Senior Special Assistant on Security in charge of Ofu Local Government, Hon. Amodu Ibrahim has coordinated the arrest of a suspected car snatcher.

The suspect, who gave his name as Ugbede Ogwu, an indigene of Aloji in Ofu Local Government Area confessed that the white coloured Toyota Camry LE 2012 model was given him to deliver to Abuja from Lagos but diverted through Ibadan to Ugwolawo.

Upon interrogation, as to how he got the car placed on advertisement, it was discovered that Ugbede intentionally wanted to divert and sell the car in Ugwolawo before fleeing else where.

In obedience to law and order, Hon. Amodu directed the suspect and the car to be moved to Ugwolawo police station for further investigation and prosecution. He advised young people in the area to engage in meaningful ventures from which they can secure better livelihood.
