FCC commends Hon. Danga, Min. of Water Resources over compliance
Kogi State Commissioner for Water Resources Hon. Abdulmumin Danga along side his management team in the ministry interfaced with the representatives of the Federal Character Commission in his office Complex Lokoja, Kogi State.
The Kogi State Coordinator of the federal character Commission Mr. Gabriel Audu who also doubled as the spoke person from the Commission explained the reasons for the visit to the ministry of water resources.
Mr. Audu said over the time, record has shown that ministry of water resources, Kogi State has been complying with the ethics of Federal Character Commission, he reiterates that the Commission in any Government setting will always be at the background to get the knowledge of everything that’s happening, he stated that Federal Character Commission is a federal executive body established by an Act No.34 of 1996 to implement and enforce the federal character principles of equity, fairness and justice in the distribution of public posts and socio- economic infrastructure among the various federating unit of the federal Republic of Nigeria.
Mr. Audu further Emphasized that the functions of Federal character Commission includes among many to promote, mentor and enforce compliance with the principle of proportional sharing of all bureaucratic and economic benefits.
Kogi State Federal character Commissioner Hon.(Pharm) Idris Bello Eneye appreciate the Hon. Commissioner for Water Resources Hon. Danga for what he has been doing.
Hon. Eneye Eulogized him for his Humanitarian Services, selfless service, Charismatic and Pragmatic Leadership Qualities he has been exhibiting ever since he was appointed by the Visionary, Youthful and Useful executive Governor of Kogi State, he further said he’s not surprise because Hon. Danga is a Young and an energetic man Vis-a-Vis knows what to do which he has been doing for the people of Kogi State, Hon. Eneye emphasized that the reward for good work is more work and he Prayed that Almighty Allah will Continue to Guide and Direct his footsteps to do more for the people of Kogi State.
Kogi State Commissioner for Water Resources Hon. Abdulmumin Danga in his Proactive reactions appreciate the representatives of the Commission for the visit.
Hon. Danga reaffirmed that Kogi State under the Distinguished Leadership of Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello Executive Governor, Kogi State has been operating on an Ebigo Agenda which connote equity, fairness and justice that has foster unity among the people of Kogi State.
He emphasized that GYB led Administration has created and placed Kogi State among the Comity of State which other states are emulating, he further emphasized that the Administration of GYB had gone digital on equity and fairness in the distribution of public posts and infrastructure which is very obvious, for example an Ebira man is the Commissioner for Water Resources, the permanent secretary of the Ministry Engr. Usman D. Victor is an Igala man, the General manager of lokoja greater water works Engr. Abdulsalam Shagir Muhammed is from Lokoja here and the director of water Mr. Kayode C. Ayodele is an Okun man from Kogi west and this is the same pattern of distribution in ministry nominal role which we will made the copy available for the commission as requested in due time.
The permanent secretary of the ministry of water resources, Engr. Usman D. Victor gave the closing remarks and once again Appreciated the federal character Commission for coming to their ministry which is the Ministry of Life.
