Community Development Advocate, Onogwu Mohammed Honored with Excellence Award »

The Umomi Progressive Association National Headquarters, yesterday recognized outstanding contributions to community development by honoring several individuals with the prestigious Award of Excellence. Among the honorees was Mr. Onogwu Mohammed, former Chief Press Secretary to ex-governor Yahaya Bello and current Special Adviser to Governor Usman Ododo on Public Relations whose efforts in fostering unity, development, and progress within the Umomi community was celebrated.

The association cited the award as being “In Recognition of Your Outstanding Dedication, Visionary Leadership, and Tireless Efforts in Fostering Community Development, Unity, and Progress.”

Expressing gratitude for the recognition, Mr. Mohammed described the award as a significant morale booster. “This honor inspires me to continue striving for the growth and betterment of our community,” he said.

Commending the leadership of the Umomi Progressive Association, Mr. Mohammed praised Mr. Tijani Atogbe and his team for their exceptional organization and commitment to uniting and advancing the community’s cause. He emphasized the shared responsibility of all community members in contributing meaningfully to its progress.

In his remarks, Mr. Mohammed also celebrated his fellow awardees, including: Scientist Jonathan Obaje, Dr. Sunday Attah, Dr. Muazu Felix Ibrahim, Mr. Hayatu Akpah Last born, Mr. James Ere, Mr. Abel Attah, Mr. Jacob Ochoma Idachaba, Mr. Friday Achimugu and Late Edogbo Odoma.

He described their efforts in driving positive change as “inspiring and worthy of emulation.”

Mr. Mohammed extended his appreciation to all sons and daughters of Umomi, both at home and in the diaspora, for their steadfast contributions to the community’s progress. He urged everyone to remain committed to the collective vision of unity and prosperity.

The event, which was attended by community leaders, scholars, scientists, and the traditional ruler, provided a heartwarming platform for celebrating achievements and reinforcing unity.
