Edward Onoja Condoles Idris Family Over Death of Former Kogi Governor

Former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief Edward David Onoja, has expressed condolences to the family of former Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, following his death at the age of 77.
Onoja, in a condolence message, described the death of the former governor as the end of a significant chapter in the political history of Kogi State.
The former deputy governor acknowledged Idris’ contributions to the development and affairs of Kogi State and Nigeria during his years as a public servant and governor.
“I received with sadness the news of the passing of His Excellency, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, former Governor of Kogi State, at the age of 77,” Onoja said.
He extended his condolences to the Idris family, the late governor’s associates and the people of Kogi State over the loss.
“On behalf of my family, I extend my sincere condolences to the Idris family, his associates and the people of Kogi State over this loss,” he said.
Onoja, who currently serves as a Board Member of the South East Development Commission (SEDC), prayed for the repose of the former governor’s soul.
“May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds and grant him Al Jannatul Firdaus. May He also grant his family the strength and fortitude to bear this loss,” he said.
He concluded by praying that the soul of the former governor rest in peace.
