Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has raised alarm over the influx of people from other countries with recorded high cases of coronavirus, saying they are the biggest source of transmission.

The Director General, Nigeria Center for Disease Control, Chikwe Ihekweazu made this known during a program on channels television earlier today. He called on Nigerians to be responsible and follow government directives.

“Our appeal to Nigerians is to take responsibility and prevent further transmission of the virus, since our biggest source of risk is travellers returning from high risk countries, who are expected to self isolate for 14 days.”

“Collective action is critical to control spread, according to official NCDC twitter handle”. He said.
