CUSTO approval by NUC: SSA Students lauds Bello »

The Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor on Students, Comrade Isah Onimisi Babangida has applauded the Governor on his love for education which has led to the approval granted by the National Universities Commission (NUC) for him to go ahead with the establishment of the Confluence University of Science and Technology Osara (CUSTO) in Okene Local Government Area.

The SSA made this assertion on Wednesday while speaking to newsmen in Lokoja the state capital in reaction to the approval.

Comrade Babangida expressed pofound appreciation to Governor Bello for his show of commitment to advancing the growth of education in the state as contained in his New Direction Brochure in Kogi State.

The SSA said Govenor Bello is a progressive and visionary leader who understands the times and knows that science and technology drives the future, saying that education of the youth was necessary for societal development and overall progress.

He stated that establishment of the institution was coming at the right time in view the huge need for socioeconomic turnaround and infrastructural development requiring utilisation of technological tools.

To the SSA, Kogi is blessed with huge natural resources which would require the use of technology to put them to sustainable use, adding that with the school, the future of the state was bright.

While congratulating the people of the state, Comrade Babangida urged them to continue to support policies and programmes of the current administration in the state at all times.
