Engr Bashir Gegu, others attend solemnization of APC stalwart in Kogi LGA, Sa’ad Abubakar

The beautiful town of Gegu in Kogi Local Government Area was yesterday overtaken by guests, well wishers, political associates, business moguls, party figures, political actors, youth and women groups among others to celebrate the wedding between an APC figure in the area, Comrade Sa’ad Abubakar and his heartthrob, Zainab Muhammed.

The two days wedding was a high profile one as it saw many dignitaries brave the difficulty of daunting gridlocks on the famous Jamata Bridge in Kotonkarfe, and then the Nataco Road Repairs in Lokoja the Kogi State Capital.

Speaking to our reporter during the wedding reception, Engr Bashir Gegu who was the Chief Host, expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the success recorded and enjoined the couple to make patience, tolerance, perseverance, sincerity, fear of God, prayers and dedication to each other their watchword.

Engr Gegu, who is the Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources in the state said marriage was an institution established by God Almighty and that whoever enters into it must know they are obeying God’s directives that there be legal avenues to multiply.

He described Comrade Sa’ad as a brother that is respectful, hardworking and calm and urged him to sustain those attributes as they are necessary for a successful home, just as he advised the couple not to allow any outsider into their affairs.

Also speaking, the Chairman of the wedding Reception, Hon Danladi Suleiman Aguye enjoined the couple to take it upon themselves to settle their differences without allowing any other person to know about it because not everyone that came to give advice had the most sincere of intentions.

He prayed Almighty God to bless the union and grant them the fruit of the womb among other things that they may desire to have a comfortable home as a family.

Other speakers at the occasion also echoed the same position, and prayed Almighty God to grant them peace and understanding as a couple.

Dignitaries at the occasion include political office holders from Lokoja and Kogi Local Government Areas, women groups, local artists from the area who thrilled the guests, friends and family members to both the bride and the groom among others.
