Gov. Bello’s aide on Federal Agencies to partner KGIRS on revenue drive

The Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor on Federal Agency Matters, Prince Opaluwa Okoliko has disclosed that his office has the potentials to contribute significantly to the internally generated revenue (IGR) of the state, and called for effective synergy between his office and the Kogi State internally generated revenue service (KGIRS).

He gave this insight when he paid a courtesy visit to the KGIRS Chairman, Mr Aliyu Nda Salami at the revenue house in Lokoja.

Prince Opaluwa who commended the Revenue Boss for his display of tact and wherewithal in piloting the affairs of KGIRS, said his visit was to solicit for a forum with the Revenue Office that would create good rapport and Synergy in the area of Federal Establishments for effective revenue drive.

The Banker cum Aviation veteran further extolled the virtues of the Governor of Kogi State Alhaji Yahaya Bello in placing square pegs in square holes, and expressed high hopes that the said synergy, when achieved, would translate into improve revenue for the state, thereby helping the state in its quest to become self sustaining in line with the New Direction agenda.

On his part, The Revenue Chief appreciated the Prince for the timely visit. He commended the SSA for showing willingness to work with the Organization, and said it was in tandem with the directive from the Governor for all stakeholders to work together in achieving the collective goal of the government.

He said modalities would be put in motion to enable the two parties compliment each other for the good of Kogi State.
