Hon. Daniel Oneal Ejigbo, Kogi State Rural Development Commissioner has mourned the passing of a former Commissioner for Rural Development, Barr. Muhammed Umar who died on Sunday after a protracted illness.

Hon. Ejigbo in a statement says the death is shocking, described the deceased as a committed and patriotic citizens who contributed his quota when the opportunity presented itself.

The Commissioner while describing the death as a sad one, on behalf of the Ministry of Rural Development, urged the family he left behind to take solace in the fact that he lived a good life and contributed his quota.

The present Commissioner described death as a price all mortals must pay, prayed God to grant his soul rest and the family the fortitude to bear the loss.

Late Barr. Umar was an Indigene of Gbobe in Bassa Local Government area, Barr Umar served as the Commissionner of Rural Development during the regimes of Alhaji Ibrahim Idris and Capt Idris Wada respectively.
