Kogi Chief of Staff Urges Mass Communication Students to Prioritise Discipline, Integrity
The Chief of Staff to the Kogi State Governor, Ali Bello, has urged mass communication students to prioritise discipline, diligence and integrity as they pursue their academic and career goals.
Bello gave the advice when executives of the Mass Communication Students’ Association (MACOSA) paid him a courtesy visit at his office in Government House, GRA, Lokoja, on Monday.
The visit was part of MACOSA’s continued engagement with key government stakeholders, with the students seeking mentorship and guidance on personal discipline, academic focus and character development.
During the meeting, the association’s executives outlined MACOSA’s mandate, while expressing appreciation to the Chief of Staff for receiving them and sharing his experience.
Speaking on behalf of the association, MACOSA President, Aisha Musa Umar, thanked Bello for his time and hospitality, describing the engagement as inspiring and instructive for the students.
The association’s Director of Academics, Omanyo Gabriella Ebikwo, also delivered a brief closing remark.
In his response, Bello charged the students to be good ambassadors of their institution both within and outside the classroom.
He emphasised that discipline, diligence and integrity were essential qualities that extended beyond academic pursuits and remained important in everyday life.
The Chief of Staff encouraged the students to take their studies seriously while developing strong moral character, noting that the values required for academic excellence were also important for success in life.
He further urged them to remain focused and regard every stage of their education as preparation for the responsibilities ahead.
