Kogi govt. promise to support pro-youth initiative that foster quality education, other development

Kogi State Government has promised to always give its support to youth groups and associations that has the agenda of fostering quality education and other developmental efforts in the interest of the people.

Chief of Staff to the State Governor, Pharmacist Abdulkareem Asuku, gave the assurance when he received members of Ebira Youth Congress EYC, in his Office in Lokoja.

Pharmacist Asuku said the efforts of EYC at uniting youths in the State, especially in Ebiraland cannot be overemphasized, stressing that progress and rapid development could only be achieved when groups rise to contribute their quota for the benefit of all.

He noted that the proposed Ebira Education Foundation initiative of the Association was a welcomed development as it would help sons and daughters of Ebiraland who are financially constrained, to further their education.

Pharmacist Asuku assured of the readiness of the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello at ensuring better living condition for the people of the State, pointing out that the New Direction Administration would work to ensure success of the planned project of EYC.

The Chief of Staff called on the people of the central senatorial district to prioritize the initiative which he described as a legacy project that will be of benefit to generations yet unborn and enjoined members of the Association not be discouraged by challenges they may encounter at the course of executing the initiative.

Earlier, the President General of Ebira Youth Congress, Mr. Obio Aliu, said they were in the Chief of Staff’s Office to intimate him of a planned summit and unveiling of the Ebira Education Foundation to carter for the educational needs of youths from the central to enable them attain quality education in higher institutions of learning.

Mr. Aliu, who described the association’s visit to the Chief of Staff as fruitful, commended Governor Bello for running an open door policy and all inclusive governance in the State.

Then President General assured of the commitment of members of EYC towards realizing the planned project, noting that it would go a long way at helping beneficiaries realize their educational dreams.
