Kogi Head of Service Falilat Yusuf Musa endorses Governor Ododo All Campus Games

Kogi State Head of Service, Hajiya Falilat Yusuf Musa, with members of the Governor Ododo All Campus Games Local Organising Committee led by Comrade Achor Joshua during their visit in Lokoja.

The Kogi State Head of Service, Hajiya Falilat Yusuf Musa, Esq., has endorsed the Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo All Campus Games, describing the sporting initiative as an opportunity to engage students positively while discovering and developing sporting talents across the state.

Hajiya Falilat gave the endorsement when she received members of the Local Organising Committee of the maiden inter-tertiary sporting festival at her office in Lokoja.

The committee, led by its Chairman, Comrade Achor Joshua, was at the Head of Service’s office as part of its engagement with key stakeholders ahead of the commencement of the games.

The Head of Service commended the organisers for introducing an initiative capable of providing students with productive extra-curricular activities while creating a platform for them to display their sporting abilities.

She noted that the tournament would provide opportunities for talent discovery and development, stressing that Kogi State is blessed with enormous talents that require the right platforms and support to flourish.

According to her, sustained investment in youth development and sporting activities can help young people channel their energy into productive ventures while promoting discipline, teamwork and healthy competition.

Hajiya Falilat further expressed optimism that the Governor Ododo All Campus Games would contribute to placing Kogi State on the sporting map by providing a platform for promising athletes to emerge and gain wider recognition.

She also commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for what she described as his youth-focused initiatives, particularly efforts aimed at creating opportunities for young people to develop their potentials.

Earlier, Comrade Achor Joshua and members of the Local Organising Committee presented the vision and objectives of the Governor Ododo All Campus Games to the Head of Service.

He said the maiden competition is designed to bring together students from tertiary institutions across Kogi State in a festival of sports, with emphasis on talent discovery, youth engagement, unity and peaceful coexistence.

Achor said the tournament is expected to provide participating students with an avenue to combine academic pursuits with sporting and extracurricular development.
