Kogi NYCN commences activities to mark Gov Bello’s electoral victory party

The National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN in Kogi State has commenced activities to mark victory party for the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello’s victory in the November gubernatorial polls.

To this end, the council organised a Jummaat Prayer in Lokoja with the session being led by the State Chairman, Forum of Coordinators, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu.

The prayer session focused on divine guidance and good health for the Govenor and members of his cabinet and their families, peaceful dispensation, progress and development of the entire State among other prayer points.

Speaking, the Governor expressed gratitude to the council for thinking it wise to commence the activities with submission to divine guidance, saying his administration has always put God first in all that he does.

Governor Bello who was represented by the State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Prince Sani Ogu Salisu said his government would continue to give attention to the welfare of the Youth, noting that his priority was to see to the overall development of Kogi state.

In his own capacity, Prince Salisu said the decision of Kogi Youths to celebrate Governor Bello was not out of place given to the fact that they have never had it so good since creation of the state about 28 years ago.

The Chairman of the council’s Coordinators’ Forum, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu stressed that the Youths of Kogi State were ready to go extra miles to ensure the Governor’s victory because of his magnanimity towards issues that concern them.

Comrade Abdullahi, who was the Director General, Independent Youth Mobilisation and Sensitization Campaign Team for GYB/CEDO Re – Election added that activities lined up for the victory celebration also include a Sunday Service which will take place on the 15th of December, 2019 in Lokoja.

He noted that activities for the celebration would wind down on Tuesday the 17th December, 2019 with the Victory Party proper.

The Chairman also expressed gratitude to all the Youth of the state for coming out in their numbers to support the candidature of Govenor Yahaya Bello and Chief Edward Onoja, and assured them that they would not let the state down.
