Kogi Poly Holds 4th Combined Convocation January 6 »

The management of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, has announced dates for the institution’s 4th combined convocation ceremonies for the award of Higher National Diplomas (HND) and National Diplomas (HND).

In a statement signed by the Registrar of the Polytechnic, Aiyeetan Sunday, the convocation will combine 2013 – 2023 Sets.

Convocation ceremonies for the award of diploma and fellowship will hold on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at the convocation arena.

The Registrar stated that payment for academic gowns commences immediately.

“Collection of academic gowns and invitation cards from the office of the Dean, Directorate of Student Services (DSS) begins as from Tuesday, 2nd January, 2024, upon presentation of evidence of payment between the hours of 9:00am- 4:00pm each day.

“All payments should be made to KOGI POLY CONSULT NIG LTD Account Number: 2032298468 at First Bank PLC. Appropriate Polytechnic receipts should be obtained from Bursary Department prior to the collection of Convocation materials, including: Academic Gowns for National Diploma (ND) Graduands at N5,000; Academic Gowns for Higher National Diploma (HND) Graduands at N5,000

“Payment commences from Monday 18th December, 2023 to Thursday 4th January, 2024,” he said.

According to the statement, the convocation service will hold at Chapel of Peace and Catholic Chaplaincy on Sunday, December 31 while the Rector’s press briefing is scheduled for January 4, 2024.

Exhibition by the institution’s Entrepreneurship Development Centre will hold at 5:00pm at Exhibition Gallery, School of Arts, Design and Printing, while the convocation juma’at prayer will be at the polytechnic mosque on January 5.

Prof. Joseph Omade will deliver the convocation lecture on ‘Providing Food Security: The Role of Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria’ at the polytechnic’s 500 seater lecture theater by 4:00pm on January 5 as well.
