Kogi Youth Security Summit Gets New Date, Holds October 8
Kogi Youth Security Summit 2026 has been rescheduled to October 8, 2026.
The National Youth Council of Nigeria, Kogi State Chapter organisers of the Kogi Youth Security Summit 2026 have announced Thursday, October 8, 2026, as the new date for the much-anticipated youth and security engagement in Kogi State.
The summit, which is scheduled to commence at 10:00 a.m., is expected to bring together young people, government representatives, security stakeholders and other relevant partners to discuss security challenges and explore collaborative approaches to building a safer Kogi State.
Chairman of Kogi NYCN, Comrade Abdulmumemin Enesi, who doubles as the secretary of the central planing committee in a state earlier today said, the event is designed to provide a platform for meaningful conversations on the role of young people in promoting peace, security and community development, while strengthening cooperation between youths and security institutions.
According to Enesi, the summit will focus on collective action and practical engagement towards addressing security concerns affecting communities across the state.
The organisers urged participants and stakeholders who had planned to attend the event to take note of the new date and make necessary arrangements to be part of the summit.
The Kogi Youth Security Summit is expected to provide an avenue for participants to share ideas, identify areas of collaboration and contribute to discussions on sustainable security and peaceful coexistence in Kogi State.
