Kotonkarfe agog as Kogi LGA treasurer, Alh Abdullahi Ohikwura clocks 40 »

Many defied the heavy rainfall which had threatened the occasion to mark the 40th birthday of the treasurer for Kogi Local Government Area, Alhaji Abdullahi Yusuf Ohikwura.

But despite that and the choking vehicular clog on the popular Jamata Bridge which delayed many travelers, the event was successfully celebrated.

The event, which was organised by his friends saw attendance by his colleague treasurers, associates, family, members of staff of the Local Government, youth groups and associations, women, opinion moulders among others.

The guests all had beautiful words to eulogise the celebrant who was obviously caught off guard and was humbled by the shower of praise from the attendees.

In his words, the treasurer for Lokoja Local Government, Alhaji Isah Adoga described Alhaji Ohikwura as a man that is humble, dutiful, kind and hardworking.

He used the occasion to also praise the man, whom he said has wisdom beyond his age, noting that he is a blessing to their forum, to the treasury department, to the Local Government Council and the state at large and prayed that he had more opportunities to impact humanity.

Also speaking, the Director of Dekina Local Government Area, Chief Adegbe Johnson who also prayed for Long life and prosperity for the celebrant, described him as a man that prepared him for his current position.

He said forty years looked good on him, stating that he is intelligent, dedicated, and passionate about whatever he puts his minds to and prayed God to grant him long life and prosperity.

On his part, the immediate past administrator for the Local Government, Barr Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku, who further praised the celebrant, said he is a man that wants to give to his community.

He stated that the celebrant had been making efforts for his people, which is why he had attained several heights, including being a chieftaincy title holder before the golden age being celebrated.

The legal luminary then enjoined the youths of the area to emulate Alhaji Ohikwura so as to make the area better.

In his reaction, the soft-spoken Alhaji Abdullahi Yusuf Ohikwura was lost for words and just thanked the organisers of the event, friends and well wishers for attending the occasion.

Others who further spoke, described him in glowing terms and prayed Almighty Allah to grant him long life and prosperity.
