New Year - Engr Bashir Gegu congratulates Kogites, Nigerians »

Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr Abubakar Bashir Gegu has congratulated the Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and people of the state and the country for witnessing the new year 2021.

The Commissioner stated this in a press statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Lokoja the state capital.

The Commissioner was full of praise for the way God has led the state under the leadership of Govenor Yahaya Bello, and expressed confidence that the new year would be better for the citizens.

He noted that despite the challenges that came with last year, the vision and administrative acumen of Governor helped the state to record some positive socioeconomic gains, especially in the face of the global Coronavirus pandemic which crippled many economies and ultimately pushed Nigeria into the current economic recession.

He said The Governor stood firm and protected his people against the downsides of the pandemic and all indices have shown that Kogi got better even in the face challenges.

He expressed confidence in the ability of the administration to do more as promised by Governor during his re – election bid.

While thanking everyone in the Governor’s cabinet for their roles in ensuring the success of the New Direction Government, the Commissioner expressed hope that the new year would see the state take another major steps to attaining its desired developmental heights.

He thanked citizens of the state for their support and prayers for the government and prayed God to sustain them.
