Nigeria confirms second coronavirus case

Nigeria has confirmed the second case of COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
The case is a contact of the index case in Ogun state, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said this morning.
The minister of health, Osagie Ehanire said the fresh coronavirus case tested positive on March 8.
The new case has been in isolation and was tested as part of our strategy to test all contacts of the index case. It was learnt that the victim had contact with the Italian that brought coronavirus to Nigeria. The victim was said to be one of those under isolation.
Currently, the victim is undergoing treatment and quarantined in hospital located at Yaba, Lagos state.
The minister however assured of effective efforts to curb this strange illness from escalating.
