Omofaiye charges ministry staff on commitment to duty

Staff of the Ministry of Environment have been told to sustain their commitment to duty for the overall development of the ministry.

Commissioner for Environment, Chief Victor Omofaiye gave the charge at an interactive session with staff of the Ministry.

“In running an Organization, whether private or public offices, reviewing performance as well as making projections ahead has been known to play a crucial role in the smooth running of an organization.

One of the clearest benefits of regular reviews is the opportunity to improve the overall performance in the workplace. Taking the time to analyze the work produced by staff over the last year, or any period is the perfect opportunity to find areas that need attention.

It is against this backdrop that Commissioner for Environment, Chief Victor Omofaiye called for an interactive session to review the past year as well as set goals and projection for the year 2021″

Chief Omofaiye who appreciated staff of the Ministry for their support and dedication to service last year, urged them to maintain the tempo this year.

He pointed out that his office was opened for suggestions from staff on ways to continue to improve the Ministry.

Chief Omofaiye noted that with the support of the staff, the people of the state will witness many initiatives and programs aimed at improving healthy living and maintenance of environment.

Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Elder Jonah Abutu said the meeting was at the instance of the state Head of Service to review past performance and make projections in all Ministries in the state for optimum Productivity.

Director of Environment, Ramatu Omale who spoke on behalf of the staffs Commend the effort of the Commissioner and his leadership style which has been impactful so far.
