Kogi State Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja has called for unity and oneness amongst the people of Igala noting that the New Direction Government’s second term is poised to do more for the people of the state.

The Deputy Governor made this known on Tuesday when he received a delegation of Ward Coordinators of The Igala Youth Development Congress (Idah Chapter) led by the Association’s National President and Senior Special Assitant to the Deputy Governor on Political Matters, Hon. Felix Omachoko.

Chief Edward charged the IYDC to become a force to reckon with in the region urging them to throw their weight behind the Attah of Igala, HRM Dr. Micheal Ameh Oboni who has truthfully given his support to the Bello led administration.

He opined that the People of Idah had every reason to support the All Progressive Congress in its second term owing to the attention they got from the government.

The Deputy Governor expressed that he loved Idah being very historic and pivotal to the Igala Kingdom while he canvassed for the Igala Kingdom headquarter’s economic resuscitation.

Onoja warned against the prevalence of cultism in some part of Kogi East noting that such venture would not bring money to the tables of those involved but only lead to bloodshed and tears.

He urged the Youth Body to organize sensitizations on the harms of numerous evil vices in existence in some parts of the region so as to educate those who engaged in them the dangers involved

Chief Edward asked them to disabuse their minds against those that spread fake news about the New Direction Government as they were only servicing the demands of their paymaster.

He noted the state under Governor Bello’s leadership had united the people irrespective of tribal, religious or class differences assuring that the administration would continue to make effort to fulfill all its promises.

The group in their remarks thanked the Deputy Governor for the support while they also lauded the Governor Bello led administration for its various strides in the region.

They opined that good and capable leaders should be given political offices who would lead the people into victories in future elections.

The group presented an award of commendation to Hon. Felix Omachoko in recognition of his contributions and exploits within the region while they also thanked the Deputy Governor for appointing him as a Senior Special Assistant on political matters.
