SSA students matters to Gov Bello pays condolence visit on family of deceased final year Kogi poly student; assures of Governor’s concerns

The Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor on Student Matters, Comrade Isah Babangida Onimisi has paid a condolence visit to the family of the final year student of Kogi State Polytechnic who was killed in an accident at the school gate on Wednesday.

The deceased student’s demise, Jibril Abdulfatai Eneye, the SSA said, was unfortunate and that Governor Yahaya Bello, the management of the state polytechnic and the entire students felt pained by the accident.

While assuring the family that the administration of Governor Bello was ready to make necessary adjustments to avert a reoccurrence of the accident, he said the Governor has given express approval for the construction of a flyover and a speed limiting measures at the school gate.

He said the Governor and his cabinet are particularly pained, given that it was a reoccuring event, adding that government valued lives of every citizen of the state.

The SSA prayed for Almighty God to grant the deceased eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus, stressing that the death was regrettable across quarters.

He used the opportunity to also convey the condolences of the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pharmacist Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku and other members of the state cabinet, and expressed regret that a precious life such as that of the deceased was lost.

“We all know that Governor Yahaya Bello places high priority on the lives of the youths and students of the state irrespective of their ethnicity or religion. As a youth, he is always fond of devicing means to make their lives better, but it is unfortunate we had to lose Abdulfatai to that accident. We pray Almighty Allah to grant him eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus.”

The SSA who was accompanied by the Dean of Students Affairs, the NAKOSS National President, SUG President and all tribal heads of Kogi State Polytechnic, was received by the family, including the deceased’s brother and sister, Jibril Abdulrahim Anoze and Jibril Zulihat Oyiza.
