Teachers’ Day: Ali Bello Salutes Teachers for Nation-Building Role
The Chief of Staff to the Kogi State Governor, Ali Bello, has commended teachers across Kogi State and Nigeria for their sacrifices, resilience and contributions to education and nation-building.
Bello made the commendation in a message marking the 2026 World Teachers’ Day, where he described teachers as occupying a unique and indispensable position in society.
He said teachers do more than impart knowledge, noting that they also shape character, nurture talents, inspire young people and prepare future generations to contribute to national development.
Bello acknowledged the dedication and patience of teachers, particularly those working under challenging circumstances, saying their contributions may not always receive the level of recognition they deserve.
According to him, the impact of committed teachers is reflected in the lives of professionals, leaders, entrepreneurs and responsible citizens across the country.
On education in Kogi State, Bello said the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo remained committed to strengthening the sector and creating an environment where teachers could effectively perform their duties and children could access quality education.
“As Chief of Staff to the Governor, I am particularly proud of the commitment of our teachers to the educational advancement of Kogi State,” he said.
He added that teachers played a critical role in translating government policies and investments in education into meaningful outcomes.
Bello also commended the Federal Government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as ongoing efforts to expand access to quality education, strengthen human capital development and equip young Nigerians with skills for the future.
Addressing teachers across Kogi State and Nigeria, Bello thanked them for their service and urged them to remain committed to inspiring young people.
“To every teacher in Kogi State and across Nigeria, I say thank you for choosing to serve humanity through the noble profession of teaching. Your classrooms are laboratories where the future of our nation is built every day,” he said.
He further urged teachers to continue encouraging children to dream, learn and contribute positively to society.
Bello prayed for divine strength and reward for teachers for their sacrifices and wished them a happy World Teachers’ Day 2026.
