VIDEO: See how NCDC official broke WHO Covid-19 protocol in Kogi

Officials of the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) and the Federal Ministry of Health who visited Kogi state on a validation mission yesterday were to be placed on isolation in Kogi State following the directive of the Governor Yahaya Bello.

The governor said it was in compliance with the directives of the World Health Organisation and NCDC to isolate people from high risk states for the compulsory 14 days while their samples are taken for testing. He noted that it was standard protocol which must be followed before the officials begin their assignment in the state.

Bello who was excited to receive the officials into the state, attributed the Zoro Covid-19 case status of the state to the benevolence of God Almighty and the civility of Kogi State people to adhere to all preventive measures.

He however expressed shock that the officials who were supposed to help the state maintain its Zoro case status were also breaking the WHO Covid-19 protocols of No Handshakes few hours into their arrival.

He directed that his Director General in charge of protocol who shook hands with the official to join in the isolation, and directed the sample collector to take their samples for testing.

The officials however refused testing and isolation, and fled the state afterwards.
