12 Young Nigerians Tinubu’s cabinet may feature

According to recent reports, the President-elect of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, has alluded that his choice of cabinet ministers will be based primarily on competence rather than political affiliations.

This statement was made on Thursday and has sparked a lot of interest among political pundits, as it is seen as a departure from the norm in Nigerian politics where only Party members gets Appointed into key political offices.

As the task of being Nigeria’s president is considered one of the toughest jobs in the world, Tinubu has acknowledged the numerous challenges that he and his team will face when they take office. To ensure that he is able to effectively discharge his duties as provided by the constitution, he has stated that he intends to hit the ground running by swiftly constituting a cabinet that will help him run the machinery of the Nigerian state.

Rumours are currently rife and Speculations have it across Nigeria that no less than 20 Young Nigerians have been tipped to be part of Tinubu’s cabinet and also occupy very critical offices in other to ensure speedy take off after Tinubu’s Innauguration on may 29th 2023.
These are people who are believed to possess the requisite skills, experience and expertise to assist the President-elect in the mammoth task of running a country as complex and diverse as Nigeria, especially as it has to do with carrying the teaming youths of the country along.

Though the Nigeria Voting class is heavily dominated by young Nigerians and the youth Population. It is worth noting that Tinubu’s decision to prioritize competence over political affiliations has been widely applauded by many Nigerians, who have often bemoaned the tendency of past governments to appoint unqualified individuals into key positions simply because of their loyalty to the ruling party.

As the countdown to Tinubu’s inauguration continues, all eyes will be on him to see if he will indeed make good on his promise to constitute a cabinet that will be staffed with competent individuals who are capable of driving the development and growth of Nigeria and youths been Speculated are also major contributors to the Tinubu Victory.

Some of the young individuals who are speculated to be appointed to his cabinet are:

  1. Dr. Adegboyega Bamisile

Dr. Adegboyega Bamisile is a Nigerian politician and power broker. In September 2021, Dr. Bamisile was the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Director-General of the Presidential Campaign Council for the All Progressives Congress (APC) party, Rt. Hon Simon Bako Lalong. He is also the National Coordinator of Better Nigeria for Asiwaju (BNA) and Director of Planning, Research and Strategy of Bola Ahmed Tinubu Support Organization BTSO.

In the year 2019, Dr. Adegboyega Bamisile, Dr. Abubakar Abdullahi Kuso, Hon. Tayo Akinmamde teamed up with other Progressive minded disciples of the Asiwaju Tinubu to form the Bola Tinubu Support Organization (BTSO) for the propagation of the narrative for a Southern President in 2019 and making a case for Asiwaju Presidency on the basis of equity, justice and fairness.

Serving in different capacities with different pragmatic initiatives initiated, Bamisile contributed largely to the victory of Tinubu and the APC in the presidential election.

  1. Hon. Aminu Suleiman
    Hon. Aminu Suleiman is a Nigerian politician and former member of the Federal House of Representatives representing Fagge Federal Constituency in Kano State. He was elected to the House of Representatives under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 2007, and he served four consecutive terms until 2019.

In September 2021, Hon. Aminu Suleiman was the Director-General of the Tinubu Support Organisation (TSO), a political group that supports the aspirations of Bola Tinubu to become the president of Nigeria in the 2023 presidential election. The TSO is responsible for mobilizing support for Tinubu’s candidacy among voters and party members, as well as coordinating campaign activities in various states of the country.

  1. Dr. Abubakar Abdullahi Kuso
    Dr. Abubakar Abdullahi Kuso is a Nigerian politician and academic. As of my knowledge cutoff date in September 2021, he served as the National Coordinator of the Bola Tinubu Support Organisation (BTSO), a political group that supports the aspirations of Bola Tinubu to become the President of Nigeria in the 2023 presidential election. The BTSO is responsible for mobilizing support for Tinubu’s candidacy among voters and party members, as well as coordinating campaign activities in various states of the country.

Dr. Kuso is also the Personal Assistant to the Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Rt Hon Simon Bako Lalong.

When it comes to the field of humanitarian service, Dr. Abubakar Abdullahi Kuso is a formidable force both nationally and internationally. In the field of politics, he is equally a colossus. This fantastic, gentle man, together with a group of concerned citizens, established BTSO on June 12, 2019, at the Palace of HRH EMIR OF BORGU, and the EMIR was appointed Grand Patron.

It is with resolute courage and sincerity of purpose that Dr. Kuso got appointed as National Coordinator by the BTSO, and Alhaji Shuaibu Gwada was appointed BOT chairman and later Hon. Tayo Akinmamde Ayinde, the chief of staff to the Governor of Lagos.

In order to fulfil the purposeful mission of the organization, structures were formed across the 36 states, including Abuja.

The result of his ability to take an initiative, to motivate, to influence, to direct, and to control others towards the achievement of purposeful, predetermined goals through nothing more than helping the less privileged achieve success in life

Since he became the National Coordinator, bunches of achievements have been recorded under the coordinated effort of Dr. Abubakar Abdullahi Kuso, whose comportment and commitment have given hope to many in rural and urban communities across the country through various remarkable programs.

Dr. Abubakar Abdullahi Kuso is also a founding member and the National Secretary of Better Nigeria for Asiwaju (BNA).

Better Nigeria for Asiwaju was created for the sole purpose of complimenting the efforts of BTSO and AROMA, which predominately focused on Northern Nigeria.

Dr. Kuso is known for his involvement in politics and grassroots mobilization efforts in his home state of Niger.

  1. Comrade Tosin Adeyanju
    Comrade Tosin Adeyanju is a Nigerian political activist and strategist. As of my knowledge cutoff date in September 2021, he served as a Special Assistant to the Secretary of the Presidential Campaign Council and Secretary of the North Central Support Group, which is a political group that supports the aspirations of Bola Tinubu to become the President of Nigeria in the 2023 presidential election. The North Central Support Group is responsible for mobilizing support for Tinubu’s candidacy among voters and party members in the North Central region of Nigeria.

Comrade Tosin Adeyanju is known for his involvement in grassroots mobilization efforts and political activism, particularly in the North Central region of the country.

In addition to his political activities, Comrade Tosin Adeyanju is also the founder and coordinator of the Initiative for a Better and Brighter Nigeria (IBBN), a non-governmental organization that focuses on promoting good governance, accountability, and transparency in Nigeria.

  1. Dr. Hakeem Shagaya

Dr. Hakeem Shagaya is a Nigerian business magnate and entrepreneur. As of my knowledge cutoff date in September 2021, he was serving as the Youth Ambassador for the Bola Tinubu Presidential Campaign Organisation, which is a political group that supports the aspirations of Bola Tinubu to become the President of Nigeria in the 2023 presidential election.

Dr. Shagaya is the founder and CEO of the HS Media Group, a leading media and advertising company in Nigeria.
Shagaya is known for his philanthropic activities and support for youth empowerment initiatives in Nigeria. He is also an advocate for sustainable development and has been recognized for his efforts to promote social responsibility and environmental sustainability in the business sector.

  1. Mohammed Dahiru

Dahiru Mohammed is a Visionary Business Leader and accomplished C-level/Senior Management Professional, with over 2 decades of successful multifaceted experience in the financial services and the public-private partnership sectors.

Dahiru, who hail from Gombe State, is a member of Fellow, Chartered Institute of Loans and Risk Management of Nigeria and Chartered Institute of Forensic and Certified Fraud Examiners of Nigeria.

Mohammed Dahiru served as a special assistant to the Director-General of the Bola Tinubu Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).

He is an astute politician, strategist, and bridge builder.

  1. Dr. Hassan Abdulrahman
    Dr. Hassan Abdulrahman Ocholi is the National Coordinator and Convener of the Super Eagles Legends National Campaign Tour for the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Project 2023.

He led the Ex Super Eagles team in a national tour that culminated into thousands of votes for Tinubu across the six geo political zones of the country.

  1. Hon. Idris Aregbe
    Hon. Idris Aregbe is the convener of Culturati, a cultural organization or movement in support of Bola Tinubu. The Culturati was involved in supporting Bola Tinubu’s presidential campaign in several ways.
  2. Stella Okotete
    Stella Okotete is a Nigerian banker with Nexim Bank and a politician who currently serves as the Executive Director, Business Development of the Nigerian Export-Import Bank

Okotete also holds a Diploma in business analysis from the Metropolitan School of Business and Management in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Prior to joining NEXIM, Okotete worked in the financial sector and was known for her excellence in the areas of business development, credit risk management, and marketing. She served as a legislator in Delata State.

Stella was the Woman Representatives at APC Caretaker Committee led by Mai Mala Buni.

  1. Engr. Salisu Magaji
    Magaji was a member of the support group for Bola Tinubu’s presidential campaign in Kano State.
  2. Bar. Maimuna Abubakar Audu, the daughter of the first and second Executive Governor of Kogi State, Late Prince Abubakar Audu, a close Associate of the Asiwaju Tinubu family.

Very Dogged and focused Mobilizer, she is in the Protocol committee of the APC Presidential campaign council.
