Bello vows to crush banditry in Kogi as Engr Bashir Gegu represents Governor on condolence visit to Vice Chairman, Kogi LGA
Again, Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has restated his commitment to ending all forms of banditry in the state.
The Governor gave assurances through his Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr Abubakar Bashir Gegu on Tuesday when he paid a condolence visit on the Vice Chairman of Kogi Local Government Area, Hon Hassana Ishaku who lost her husband to armed bandits in the early hours of Monday while working on his farm.
The Governor said he would never be deterred in his commitment to rid Kogi State of all forms of criminality and advised criminal elements among the citizens to vacate the state.
He said all unscrupulous elements disturbing the peace and wellbeing of its citizens would meet their Waterloo in no distant time, with the Commissioner assuring that the order of the Governor to fish out suspects behind the attack would be swiftly executed.
In another development, the Commissioner led a delegation of government to commiserate with Alhaji Abdulhamid Danjuma Gegu, the former SSA to the Governor on political matters in charge of Lokoja/ Koto Federal Constituency and Omazagu family for the loss of two of their children by car accident at the roadside of Gegu Beki town.
He prayed Allah to grant them Aljannah Firdaus.
On the Commissioner’s entourage was the Commissioner for Rural Development, Ejigbo Daniel Oniel, the SSA to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy afyfairs, Alhaji Idris Aliyu Maikudi, the Chairman of Kogi State Civil Service Communication, Hon (Barr) Muhammed Tanko Osuku and Hon Bala Ette.
In another vein, we also console our House of Assembly member representing Kogi Koton karfe constituency on the death of his sister Hajiya Zainab Yaya Abubakar who sad event took place in Abuja yesterday.
