COUNCIL POLLS: Crisp On Upake Ward »

Citizens of Upake, Opinion Moulders, Stakeholders and Executives of the Upake Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have congratulated the frontline Councillorship aspirant of the APC, Alhassan Siyaka on his emergence as the consensus councillorship Candidate of the Party.

In a statement issued by the Ward Party Publicity Secretary, Hon. Yusuf Siyaka, other aspirants who had earlier indicated interest saw the tides ahead would not be favourable and therefore decided to throw in the towel, applaud Alhassan Siyaka for availing himself for leadership which preceded his confirmation.

It is pertinent to stste that, Alhassan Siyaka was reportedly picked as consensus candidate after a meeting with the other aspirant and some party chieftains in Upake on Thursday Morning.

The Ward Publicity Secretary said, Alhassan’s emergence is a testimonial of his persistence, popularity and acceptance across the Ward. His political sagacity and clout paved way for this monumental feat.

Speaking to one of the critical Stakeholders, Hon Yusuf Abodini said, Alhassan Siyaka’s emergence will further catapult the Party to greater heights fostering more unity among Party members due to the fact that he is a unifier.

In his acceptance speech, Mallam Alhassan Siyaka said, his special appreciation is to God. He was quick to appreciate the instrument God used to ensure a very peaceful process, in the person of Hon Jibril Abu (WisdomBank). Mr Abu is said to have allowed for freehands and purposeful leadership in Upake Ward. He is said not to allow forced choice on the People.

He thanks the Ward Party Chairman, Excos, Outgone Secretary to the Local Government and Stakeholders for the confidence reposed in him. “Today again, you have made your voice count. I will not fail you”.

Alhassan had this to tell his People,
Upake people, please come out enmass on the day of election. Let me in via landslide into that office and leave the rest for me. You will not regret it’.
