Defection: Prince Sani Ogu Salisu, APC leaders receive Makama into APC

The immediate past Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development in Kogi State, Prince Sani Ogu Salisu have on Thursday at the National Secretariat of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) joined other Kogi leaders to officially receive Amb. (Dr) Friday Sani Makama into the party.

Amb. Makama, a two time Member of the Kogi State House of Assembly representing Igalamela/Odolu State Constituency said he has been in consultation for the past three weeks and finally joined the party upon strong conviction and the willingness of his supporters to move along with him.

The former Lawmaker noted that it was a thing of joy for him to join the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC at a time the Kogi State Governor is under pressure to run for the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, promising to not just be a loyal Party Man but gives his best toward the actualization of the Presidential clamor.

Prince Sani Ogu Salisu, a major Stakeholder of the APC in Kogi State who was present at a closed door meeting prior to the official defection revealed that the defection of Amb. (Dr) Friday Sani is a big boost to the APC as a party and the Presidential ambition of Governor Yahaya Bello.

The Prince admonished aggrieved members of opposition parties to take advantage of the All Progressives Congress’ upcoming Membership Revalidation, Updating and fresh Registration to join the party en-masse stressing that the APC remained the only formidable party in Nigeria with a people oriented policies and programs as its manifesto.

Earlier, in his address to the press, Amb. Friday Sani Makama thanked the party’s National Caretaker Committee led by His Excellency, Governor Mai Mala Buni for their relentless effort at strengthening the Party stressing that such effort is what eased his process of consultation and decision to join the party.
