Dr. Ogbo commissions block of classrooms, motorized borehole projects in Angwa-Ogebe

The quiet Angwa-Ogebe community in Ankpa local government area of Kogi state was today thrown into ecstacy as many troupe out in colors and songs to appreciate their son, Dr. Usman Salisu Ogbo, the Rector of Kogi state Polytechnic who came to commission a motorized borehole and a block of classrooms at LGEA primary school facilitated by him to the community.

Recall that on the 24th of June, 2022, the Kogi State government through the State Community and Social Development Agency (KCSDA), honoured the Rector, by providing the projects worth millions of naira to his Angwa-Ogebe community,

In his goodwill message earlier today at the commissioning, the General Manager, Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency (KCSDA), Dauda Momoh, said his happiness knew no bounds as the projects which started four months ago was being commissioned.

The General Manager applauded the Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman, for being a committed disciple of governor Yahaya Bello’s good governance vision and for being a worthy ambassador of his community as reflected in the facilitation of the projects and payment of counterparts fund on behalf of the Angwa-Ogebe community.

He said God has chosen Dr. Ogbo as the light of the community, and urged the people to continue in their support for him physically and in prayers.

The KCSDA boss commended the Angwa-Ogebe community for supervising the project to completion, stressing that they have shown genuine interest in the project which will definitely encourage other projects to the community, adding that the New Direction administration of governor Yahaya Bello is fully committed to ensuring that rural communities in Kogi State continue to benefit from the World Bank assisted projects which are executed through counterpart funding.

The Youths Chairman of Angwa-Ogebe community, Wahab Danbala, expressed gratitude to the financiers of the project, Dr. Usman Ogbo for his commitment to community development . He said the youths of Angwa-Ogebe met with the Rector and solicited his support for specific projects, adding that the promise made by the Rector is fulfilled through the project commissioning.

The youth leader also praised Dr. Ogbo for empowering young men and women from the community with jobs and business funds, stressing that he is a worthy son of the land who they are proud of. He called on other privileged individuals from the community to emulate Dr. Ogbo by giving back to the people.

In his speech, the facilitator of the project, Dr. Usman Ogbo said the projects being commissioned are dear to him, being that he considered them as gifts to his community in commemoration of his 50th birthday which is coming up on Wednesday, October 18th 26th, 2022.

Recalling past events, Ogbo narrated how he campaigned to the people of Angwa-Ogebe about voting for Governor Yahaya Bello. He said he told the people that Yahaya Bello was a visionary leader who identifies quality and rewards hard work.

Dr. Ogbo appreciated the exemplary and resourceful leadership style of Governor Yahaya Bello, and attributed the projects and several civil service employments to the people of Angwa community to the governor’s love and commitment to fulfilling his promises to the people.

The Rector urged the people to continue in their support for the administration, adding that more dividends of democracy will be delivered to them. He also solicited the support of the community for all the candidates of the All Progressives Congress in the 2023 general elections stressing that their victory would ensure sustainability in the all round development already pioneered by governor Bello.

The Rector was accompanied to commission the projects by KCSDA GM, Dauda Momoh; the Provost of Kogi State College of Education, Ankpa, Dr. Ibrahim M. Kabir; Dean school of Management Studies, KSP, Joel Akowe; Gagos in Angwa Ogebe, youths, women leaders among others
