As Muslims across the world mark Eid-el-Kabir, Kogi First Lady, Mrs Rashida Bello has expressed greetings to Muslim faithful and emphasised the need for harmonious coexistence and adherence to the teachings of Islam.

Mrs Rashida Bello in a Sallah message by Her Senior Special Assistant Victor Okee urged Muslims in the state and the nation in general to imbibe values of sacrifice, tolerance and good neighbourliness.

“Let us hold firm to our faith in Almighty Allah, do not allow the harsh economic realities occasioned by the Covid-19 Pandemic make you lose faith in the Country. Pray fervently for our leaders, the State and the Nation in general. It added.

The First Lady further enjoined the people to support the state Government’s fight against crime by being vigilant and reporting all suspicious activities to relevant authorities noting that the fight against insecurity requires the collective effort of all and sundry.

She prayed for everyone to be partakers in the benefits that abound in this period while wishing the entire Muslim ummah a peaceful Eid-el-Kabir.
