‘Elevation of Onoja as the Deputy Gov, a well- deserved position’ – Abdulmalik

The Chairman of Kogi State House of Assembly Service Commission, Alhaji Andas AbdulMalik said the elevation of the former Chief of Staff to the State Governor, Chief Edward Onoja as Kogi State Deputy Governor is a well- deserved appointment.

Alhaji Abdulmalik said Chief Onoja deserved nothing less considering his political sagacity and accessibility when he served as the Chief of Staff to the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.

According to him, his new position would no doubt enable him to play more pivotal roles in the New Direction Agenda of the present administration, ensuring victory for the candidate of All Progressives Congress( APC), Alhaji Yahaya Bello in the November 16th Governorship election in the state.

Alhaji Malik commended the New Deputy Governor, Chief Onoja for his unalloyed loyalty and his contributions to the government pointing out that the new position would be another golden opportunity for him to make the State more united and fast track the growth and development of the state.

Alhaji Malik prayed God to grant the Deputy Governor wisdom, knowledge, good and sound health to deliver on the new assignment divinely arrangemented by God for him.

In the same vein, the Chairman has commended the Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon.Mathew Kolawole and other Lawmakers for not allowing selfish interest and sentiments becloud their legislative duties in the process leading to the impeachment of the former Deputy Governor, Elder Simon Achuba.

Alhaji Malik described the impeachment process as transparent and strict adherence to the spirit and letter of the Constitution of the federal Reuplic of Nigeria which they had sworn to uphold at all times and commended them for the successful screening and confirmation of the newly appointed Deputy Governor.
