Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr Abubakar Bashir Gegu has commended Governor Yahaya Bello on the appointment of Abdulrahman Hussein a.k.a ‘Gentle’ as his Senior Special Assitant on Youth and Women Mobilisation in charge of Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency.

Engr Gegu made the comment in a statement on Wednesday shortly after the announcement of the appointment which includes the appointment of persons into the position for other federal constituencies across the state.

He said the appointment was well timed as it was coming at a period the youths were clamouring for a shift in leadership across the state and the country, stating that Governor Bello has through the appointment, shown his zeal to bequeath good legacy for the next generation in the state.

The Commissioner said Hon Abdulrahman has been consistent in his support for the present administration in the state, noting that giving him the position shows that the government of Yahaya Bello appreciates consistency and tenacity.

Engr Gegu said such reward would further encourage others to also take a cue and stay faithful to the party and called on members of the APC across the state to continue to back policies and programmes of the Yahaya Bello administration.

While using the opportunity to also congratulate other new appointees, he called on them to understudy the New Direction Blueprint and use it as a guide towards making impact in their communities and across the state for the good of the administration.

“The core policy of the Governor is for everyone in the government to do more positive things that would impact the people and improve the well being of ordinary Kogites. I want them to imbibe this so that we can make our marks and make future elections walkover for the APC. I congratulate all of them.”
