SSA to Governor Bello on Students Affairs commences Unity Tour to Schools in Kogi

The Senior S0oecial Assitant on Student Affairs to Kogi State Governor, Comrade Isah Onimisi Babangida has commenced a Unity Tour across higher institutions in the state with the aim of ensuring mutual working relationships among students, staff and the state government.

It is in that light that he was at the College of Nursing and Midwifery, Obangede where he expressed the love the Governor has for education as one of the core areas in the New Direction Blueprint.

Comrade Babangida who met with the Provost and management of the College in the presence of the student leaders, described the school as one of the most peaceful institutions in the state.

He stressed that the institution is among the schools that Governor Bello has huge love for for the fact that it trains human resources necessary to take the health sector of the state to the next level, hence recent voting of huge resources for the facelift of buildings in the college.

The Provost of the college thanked the SSA for the visit and expressed her gratitude for the prompt response her office has been receiving from the administration each time they make their problems known to governnent.

She also expressed the gratitude of her staff and the students to the Governor, his Chief of Staff and other members of the state executive council for giving necessary attention to the college, and promised their dedication to churning out the best in the health sector and unalloyed support to the administration at all times.

During his meeting with the Student Union Government and NAKOSS leaderships in the college, the SSA assured the students of the Governor’s commitment to seeing to adequately providing for their welfare.

On his part, the SUG President, Suleiman Abdulmajeed Amoto, while appreciating the Governor for appointing an SSA Student Affairs who was once a unionist said the action proves Governor Bello has the interest of the students at heart.

He urged the SSA to continue with his open door policy, saying the interactive session gave room for them to air their pains which the SSA promised to present to government and find ways of addressing squarely.
