Hon Bashir Gegu congratulates Kogites, state legislature, stakeholders over Kogi Science varsity bill passage

The progressive government of Governor Yahaya Bello in Kogi State has no doubt evolved into an administration dedicated to making all sectors of the state work to the benefit of the citizenry.

This was the conclusion of the State Commissioner for Solid Mineral and Natural Resources, Engr Abubakar Bashir Muhammed while congratulating the government and people of the state for the steps that have been taken to ensure the success of the Confluence University of Science and Technology to be sighted in Osara.

The Commissioner said Wednesday’s passage of the bill for the university’s establishment was testament to the preparedness of the state House of Assembly to work in an accelerate manner on all issues requiring their input for the growth of the state.

He therefore praised the state lawmakers for their efforts in ensuring the bill got accelerated hearing, stressing his full confidence in the ability of Governor Bello to swing into action of mobilising necessary resources for the institution’s immediate full takeoff.

According to the Commissioner, with such a citadel of learning in place, it would create a healthy hunting ground for his ministry which is largely concerned with technologically astute individuals.

“The Solid Minerals and Natural Resources sector is capable of positively turning around the economy of Kogi State and the present administration has shown it’s willingness to see it help diversify the state revenue sources.

“With the Confluence University of Science and Technology in place, graduates from the school would easily be gainfully engaged to beef up the state workforce, improve the economy and fight all forms of insecurity among the youths. It is a win – win for all stakeholders in the end.”

The Commissioner therefore reiterated his call on the citizens of the state to continue to support the policies and programmes of Governor Yahaya Bello for the socioeconomic and infrastructural improvement in Kogi.
