Idah chapter NYCN adds voice to “free pad for girl – child” campaign
The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) in Idah Local Government Area of Kogi State has again added its voice to the campaign for a free pad for menstruating ladies across the country.
The NYCN Coordinator for the area, Comrade Ali-Keller Abdulkadir made the call in Idah when he received the convener of a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO), NickolasMotivates, Mr Ugwuanyi Nicholas, who paid a working visit during one of their sensitisation campaigns in that regard.
Comrade Keller expressed gratitude to the NGO for its show of passion to cause of the girl child noted the preparedness of the youth organisation to collaborate with them to ensure their objective was achieved.
The NGO’s campaign which was tagged; “Give a Pad, Save a Girl Child,” the Idah NYCN noted, was apt, in view of the great significance the girl-child has in the society.
Comrade Keller urged all relevant stakeholders and other interest groups to embrace the project, adding that his dream was to see it being adopted globally so that the girl – child can enjoy free pads across the world.
The Coordinator of Idah chapter NYCN Comrade Ali-Keller Abdulkadir Destiny while receiving the Convener of NickolasMotivates appreciated the Convener of NickolasMotivates for the beautiful project, and secondly finding the chapter worthy of partnership.
While thanking the team for the visit to his office, the Idah NYCN further supported the NGO with a carton of Sanitary Pad along side a cash donation to aid the campaign.
The NGO’s who expressed gratitude to Idah NYCN for the gesture, venerated the chapter and prayed for divine upliftment and progress of its coordinator and his members.
