Kogi solid minerals commissioner lauds Gov Bello in One Year Anniversary Message

Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr Abubakar Bashir Gegu has applauded Governor Yahaya Bello for the works he has continued to embark on for the good of the state since his re – election in 2019.

The Commissioner stated this in Lokoja on Wednesday in his congratulatory message to the Governor in honour of his One Year Anniversary for the second term.

He said since assumption of office, Governor Bello has made development of the state a huge priority, noting that by the time the Governor was done in the next three years, the state would have taken a quantum leap in all areas of human endeavour.

The Commissioner, who said the cabinet in Kogi currently has done exceedingly well to ensure the realisation of the New Direction Blueprint said the ‘Let’s Do More’ agenda under which the Governor was given the nod by the people of the state, demonstrated that has shown he meant business.

He particularly mentioned the continued attention to the welfare of civil servants in the state, creation of the Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH) Osara, continued attention to security matters across the state, women and youth empowerment, the Reference Hospital in Okene, General Hospital in Gegu, relocation of Kogi State Polytechnic Preliminary School and others, form some of the bulk of the administration’s flagship projects, which he was sure the Governor would do better on.

Engr Bashir Gegu, who thanked the people of the state, particularly the people of Lokoja / Kotonkarfe for their warmth and immense support for the administration, said Governor would continue to allocate projects that would turn around the life of the people for the better in the area.
