Kogi State Council for Art and Culture gets new Director.

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has approved the appointment of Mrs Wosilat Owuda as a substantive Director for Kogi State Council for Arts and Culture. She succeeded Director, Admin & Finance, Mr Peter Odekina who has just retired.

In a letter dated 14/09/2020, ref KGS/HCS/MISC/COR/I/IX/66, signed by the Head of Civil Service, Mrs Deborah A Ogunmola, the appointment is in line with the Law Establishing Kogi State Council for Arts and Culture. She was charged to bring to bear her wealth of experience and professional expertise on the new responsibilities.

In separate remarks at the management meeting of the Council, members expressed profound gratitude to His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello and Head of Civil Service, Mrs Deborah A Ogunmola for doing justice to the status quo and the prayer of the entire members of staff of the Council for professional leadership and carreer progression. The appointment is regarded and celebrated as the dawn of a new era.

While congratulating Mrs Owuda, she was urged to be firm, fair, diligent and disciplined in piloting the affairs of the Council.

Responding, Mrs Owuda thanked the governor and the Head of Civil Service for the confidence reposed in her. She promised to do the needful, with the support and cooperation of the entire staff of the Council.

Until her appointment, she was the Director, Department of Research and Documentation, Kogi State Council for Arts and Culture.
