Power Upgrade: Kogi Workers Laud Governor Bello

Kogi State Civil Servants have commended the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello for upgrading power supply at the State Secretariat Complex from 11KV to 33KV to enable them have steady power supply .

Hajiya Zainab Sadiq, a staff of Hospital management Board (HMB) made this commendation at the State Secretariat Complex in Lokoja today while addressing newsmen on the plausible change of power supply at the State Secretariat and its environ.

Zainab who revealed that the epileptic nature of power supply to the State Secretariat has made work place unbearable also noted that the gesture has saved the environment from being the danger zone it was in the night adding that, apart from working in the Secretariat she also lives around the Secretariat.

Mr Idris Hayatu, another Civil Servant in the office of the Head of Service also appreciated the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for providing a conducive working environment to the Civil Servants in the State noting that, “this alone is a good development as it will enhance productivity and quality service delivery.

Idris further mentioned that this gesture would give workers better working environment and would also make them enjoy their working hours.

He equally noted that the Governor has delivered the workers from pollution occasioned by incessant use of generators virtually all the offices at the Secretariat.

The Commissioner for Works and Housing Engr Abubakar S. Ohere has been working round the clock to ensure that the inherited epileptic power supply from the past administrations in the State becomes a thing of the past.

Ohere noted that, his target is to make sure that the electioneering promises on infrastructural development in the State are delivered.
He further added that ” the reality of infrastructural work on ground has justified the promise of Governor Yahaya Bello to “Do More” for the people.

He called on the Civil Servant to be more committed as the administration is poised to put smiles on their faces.
